Yesterday the Lower Elementary classroom held Missouri Day, with each student presenting work on a famous Missourian. Each student gave a talk about their research to visiting parents and fellow students from the other classrooms. Lower El students arranged their presentations with posters, displays, costumes, and other significant objects that reinforced their work. Visitors were able to learn about interesting and important Missourians ranging from historical to contemporary figures in the arts, business, military, sports, and sciences–and even an outlaw or two.

Afterward, elementary students and families shared a delicious Pizza Tree picnic lunch outside. Photos of students with their presentations are posted on our Flickr page (with more to come!).
