Last year marked Windsor Street Montessori’s first entry in the True/False Film Festival’s March March. If you haven’t attended this unique Columbia happening before, the March March kicks off the True/False Film Fest’s weekend with a loosely structured, imaginative parade that ends in a block party in front of the Missouri Theatre. Kids in creative costumes strut alongside filmmakers, musicians, and artists. With its performers in imaginative costumes, marching bands, and homemade props and floats, the parade really is a fantastic scene (click here for an album of photos from 2014!).
WSMS families and friends are again signed up to march as a group. To celebrate this year’s True/False theme—The Long Now–students are working on artwork and signs for us to carry that will represent each of the four seasons. To add to the theme, kids can bring along costumes or props: some spring butterfly wings, a wintry snowman hat, or a crown of summer blooms or autumn leaves. Join us in costume–or just come as you are! (We’ll also have a supply of WSMS flags, hats, wings, and other items for our group.) Everyone’s welcome to join in–or just come as a spectator–for this short, fun event. Hope to see you at Courthouse Square!
