This week the Lower Elementary has had fun. We got free choice everyday this week. We met a Gray Parrot named Jake. He was 18 but would live to be 69-80 yrs old. We went to the park a lot and also had our first indoor recess. We found a ginormous Praying Mantis and lots of us held it. We climbed trees in the park, played soccer, and took lots of pictures for this project. We look forward to sending you weekly updates (and lots of embarrassing pictures of Matt and Michelle).

This week was good! I got on free choice everyday. I liked going outside everyday and playing with scrap wood blocks. I liked playing in the little hut we built. I really liked the Great Lessons especially the Big Bang!

Highlights for me included building a house out of boards. We designed it ourselves. I also enjoy the new books we got this week. I really liked art class to. I used pastels to draw the grape fruit sized ball of earth when it was forming.
