This April in the UE, the 4th years have been starting pre-algebra.  They have been working on multiplying integers, dividing numbers with unlike signs, adding the opposite, etc. The 5th and 6th graders have also been working more on algebra.  They have been multiplying and dividing fractions, too.

Language – Kiera and Lushen

The UE have been doing book club final projects, we also have been doing grammar by writing a sentence and drawing the grammar symbols above the words. And a few people’s projects were: drawing a scene from the book, drawing the main characters from the book, and making a book jacket for the book.

This month in science, we have been studying cells, and the systems of the body. Each student has been assigned to create a project describing the systems of the body and what they are used for. We also have been studying the united states government.

We celebrated Missouri day on Thursday the twenty-third of April.  We had pizza delivered  from Pizza Tree, strawberries, salad, and carrots.

This month in Spanish we have been working on descriptions about how you look, your name, and how old you are.  Other questions include where you live, where you were born, what you do with your spare time, and if you are male or female. We have also been learning how to say greetings based on what time it is.

This month, the UE have started our ukelele unit.  We have learned how to play many chords and notes, and we have written a song utilizing these chords.
